Buying a new car
A friend of mine recently purchased a new car and got a pretty good deal. However today when I was reading the newspaper and came across a plethora of advertisments for new cars I thought of a piece that I read awhile ago on when to buy a new car.
Car buying season
Dealers are always trying to lure you in year round with special deals, rebates, and offers. However the best time to get a great deal is when the dealer really needs to get rid of their inventory. The best time is typically late summer early fall since this is when the dealers are usually recieving their models for the new year, which means they are anxious to clear out the old models.
End of the month
The other great time to buy is at the end of the month. If the dealer exceeds quotas set by the manufacture they get the newest and hottest cars next month, the closer it gets to the end of the month, the more eager they will be to sell you that new car.
It's also a good idea to go car buying during non-peak times like weekdays and early mornings. You get much better service when there aren't as many customers to chose from.

you have a great blog. Some great tips. I will be watching.. I shop for cars on ONLY rainy days.... chnces are, you will be the only one there, and they will be fighting for your business on car lots.. People say don't do it on rainy days, but remember, new cars are new, and usually can be returned if you don't like within a certain amount of time..(buyer remorse).. Also, NEVER buy the first car you see, and especially don't take the saleperson with you on the test drive... Always bring a good "angry" friend with you to talk you out of everything that the salesman is trying to sell you. I usually play the "angry" friend when people in my family or friends go to buy a car... It works. Puts em on DEFENSE..... Keep the price YOU want to pay in your head, so if they show you a car for another 2 grand with leather and HK steroe system, you can look em in the eye and say, well, if you can give me that for the XX,XXX that I am willing to pay, lets have a look. you know what? I want to do a site like this too. great stuff..hehheh.
